Bazaar
Accessories for you & your yurt from Central Asia

We have a limited number of traditional hand made (some antique) tent bands (terme) made in Kyrgyzstan and Xinjiang province (PRC) to add to your yurt.  Each item is individually priced and depends on age, size and quality, as a guide a 5cm band for your 16’ yurt would cost in the region of £150, £10/m.  Have a look at the gallery and let us know if anything catches your eye.

Authentic felt appliqué rugs, carpets and wall hangings (Shyrdak, Alakiyiz) for hire or sale.  These are all traded fairly with a women’s cooperative Altyn Kol (Golden hand) from Northern Kyrgyzstan.  Look at the gallery for individual prices.  Our stocks sre limited at the moment but we can order any number for you and in varying sizes and colours if you can wait on delivery times.

Hats from Central Asia, Alpaks (Kyrgyz felt hats), Uighur, Karzai, Uzbek and Tajik hats are all for sale.  All individually priced.

If you’re travelling to the region and want some tips on where to go, what to do and what to buy. Then feel free to contact us, we’re always happy to share what we know of this vast and little explored region.
